Reid graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 2002. Reid moved away from Lafayette to attend DePauw University and Valparaiso School of Law. He moved back to Lafayette in 2009. Reid has been actively involved in the community during the past six years. Reid is currently the President of the Board of Directors of the Lyn Treece Boys and Girls Club of Tippecanoe County. In addition, Reid has volunteered to teach Junior Achievement at Southwestern Middle School and has coached mock trial at Central Catholic High School.

Reid worked as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in Tippecanoe County from 2009 through 2011. After that, he worked for over four years at Withered Burns, LLP. Reid has extensive jury trial experience and has handled a wide range of civil matters including intellectual property licensing, business planning, and estate planning.
